About

Micro-Tyco

Micro-Tyco is designed to liberate entrepreneurial thinking across our whole society. The ‘Micro-Tyco Method’ and its combination of inspiration, knowledge and networks is so effective WildHearts was awarded the ‘Social Innovator Award’ from Babson College, Boston, the world’s top school for entrepreneurship. So far over 40,000 Micro-Tycos from 21 countries have taken part.

Micro-Tyco is a month long challenge that enables participants to practice and learn fundamental business principles in a safe, 'micro' environment. Teams from schools, universities or businesses have one month to turn £1 seed capital into as much money as possible. Micro-Tyco unleashes participants' latent talents, fostering essential entrepreneurial thinking, resourcefulness and team work. Participants receive world class business video training from the Micro-Tyco Mentors (including Lord Digby Jones and Sir Tom Hunter) and interact with other teams via the exclusive Micro-Tyco social network. Micro-Tycos also have the chance to expand their networks further at Future Talent Forums, Micro-Tyco Master Classes and the WildHearts GEL Summits.

All money created by the Micro-Tycos is invested by WildHearts in micro-loans for poor entrepreneurs in the developing world. Participants 'become entrepreneurs to fund entrepreneurs'. By associating business excellence with economic justice, Micro-Tyco inspires the Leaders Our World Deserves.
