Looking forward to the start of the new challenge this week. Already got some great ideas from the students.... let's see if we can beat last years totals!

First team meeting for the new Micro-Tyco team. This is going to be fun!

The team is made up of:

7 Polish

1 Asian

5 Scottish

None of the Scottish students are in today.

The meeting started off in English, then quickly moved to Polish. Can't help thinking Ikra is feeling a bit left out, but will the team realise this?

Let's see who has the relevant inter-personal skills to get this back on…

Colin Downie, Business Manager at Wild Hearts - Meeting with Get Ready for Work Team

Met with colin today at Cumbernauld College, and got some excellent hints and tips on how to run the project and what we could do as a team to maximise our potential.

Overall, main focus needs to be on the action.... planning is great, but don't spend too much time on it. If something isn't working, STOP!!

Build relationships, network with local businesses, make things happen, levarage the sales opportunities....

on tuesday (23/10/2012), My team decide to chuck the idea for the carwash and i have been racking my brains to think of a new project. On thursday (25/10/2012) pamela had things to do so Eddie Kennedy took the class for the afternoon and the people in the class at that time found out that he was amazing at comedy and the fact that he had performed a few gigs on stand up comedy. This is where the project comes in

Y not get Eddie to do a stand up performance to raise the money on the first day. Eddie has already said yes to perform if we go ahead.

This is my plan

1- we need the space/venue wich i thought would be the canteen

2- We need a date and time, great y not have an opening show to tell people about the project as well as comedy, let people know what and y we are doing. i though 1st Nov between 7-9 pm

3- Who- eddie kennedy, (already said yes if we go ahead)

4- price, i thought for 2 hours, between £1-£3 per ticket was a good price

5- Items, Mic Speaker chair and tables, Im sure the college canb help us with that

6- Whos involved, Team 1 +2

How will this work?

John's team are already doing cake and candy so if they do that like normal and whatever is left sell at the performance that night.

Daniels (me) team would be involved in getting the performance together

Johns team would all take the same roles at the show as through the day

My team would all have jobs to do.

Daniel (me) - Tickets

Caitlin, Jason, Craig- Posters

Kieran, jamie -  sort out the canteen for thursday 7-9 pm

Jai, Laura, paul - Get the items named above sorted for the night

Taylor - Sale of tickets with anyone i hav'nt mentioned

Taylor will also be keeping the money and making sure it all adds up

Like I said - John's team will not be effected during the day but would be great if you could sell the rest of the stuff left over at the performance

:P thanks, sorry it was so long though.
