Tyco Enterprise: Less than a week to go until trading...

With less than a week to go until Tyco Enterprise start trading as part of this years Micro Tyco challenge, we have taken this opportunity to provide a quick snapshot of where things stand in relation to our preparations.

We first met up over a month ago bringing together staff in Scottish Enterprise from offices across Scotland to compete in this innovative challenge. Scottish Enterprise has a long history in encouraging staff to take part in community engagement projects and following the chance to hear Mick Jackson as part of our Annual Conference last year, a number of staff were extremely keen to get involved.

We have been working hard over the month of October to get things ready for launch and already have a wide range of activity planned to help stimulate our income and work towards our final targets. One thing we have been pushing heavily has been our connections and trying to look to collaborations with other organisations. We work closely with companies across Scotland and hope they will be able to help us in delivering for Wildhearts. In addition we have looked to partner with other enterprise charities such as Young Enterprise Scotland and will share with you how this progresses.

Given the time scales involved we have had to shelf some of our ideas, however at the same time we have been better placed to deliver others by using our time more efficiently now and having everything ready to go. Over the next few days there is a lot to do to ensure we will be ready to go. We look forward to keeping you up to date with how things progress and if there is the opportunity for collaboration on an idea we would welcome the chance to hear from you.
